In response to the Kane County judge\u2019s dismissal of the citation issued against the driver whose failure to yield the right of way of Dennis Jurs, a 68-year-old man who was killed in an accident while riding a bicycle, state legislators introduced House Bill 5912 in an attempt to clear up the law in order to prevent a similar incident from happening in the future. According to the judge, the citation was dismissed because bicycles are not vehicles, and HB5912, also known as \u201cDennis\u2019s Law,\u201d clarifies that they are in fact vehicles.<\/p>\n
